2.18.13 | Visa and MasterCard to Allow Credit Card Surcharging | In a recent Federal Multi-District Interchange Settlement Agreement, as of January 27, 2013, both Visa and MasterCard have updated their operating regulations to allow merchants the option to impose a surcharge at the point of sale if a customer uses a credit card to make a purchase.
12. 5.11 | Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Bill |

The Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Bill and the recently approved terms of a Department of Justice lawsuit now allow merchants to set minimum purchase amounts of $10 or less. The rule applies only to credit cards; no minimums are allowed on debit cards.

The new rules also allow merchants to offer discounts or other incentives for payment by cash, checks, debit cards or credit cards, provided that the incentives do not differentiate on the basis of card issuer.

4. 1.10 | Payment Systems Worldwide and the Bakersfield Condors teamed up on March 9, 2010 | The food drive was one of the most successful ever according to the Bakersfield Condors.  Thanks to everyone who participated. Congratulations to Ellie and Margaux Hein who dropped the puck with President Curtis Bayne at the start of the game. They paired together to bring in the largest amount of canned food.  Everyone had a great time and the Condors won!
2.25.09 | Payment Systems Worldwide Announces New Relationship with Valley Republic Bank | Payment Systems Worldwide Founder Curtis Bayne and Valley Republic President Bruce Jay dropped the first puck of the game at the Bakersfield Condors game at the Rabobank Arena on February 24, 2009, the evening the two companies announced their new partnership. The event included a canned food drive benefiting the KC Food Bank and KC Gleaners, which helps support the Bakersfield community.
